report problem / I can't save

I purchased the genuine KeyShot and was rendering.
However, both the bip file and the package file are not saved.
When I try to save the file, a report problem window like the picture pops up and KeyShot just exits. And when I run KeyShot, a report problem window like the picture below pops up. How on earth do I solve this? I’m going to get beat up by my professor. Why? Because I can’t do my assignment because the KeyShot file won’t save.
Please help me.

Why not to ask Keyshot support? Send them report with option ‘…can contact me’ and open ticket in support. You will need support account for this, can be opened here: https://support.keyshot.com/_hcms/mem/register

I also encountered the same problem, unable to save

Are you opening the file in same version as it’s created? For example, I think you can’t do much with a scene if it’s saved in an education version and you open it in a Pro version.

I reopened KeyShot 2025.1, added an external HDR environment, and then saved it directly and it crashed. It crashed even if I didn’t save any scenes. I suspect there is a problem with the external HDR, and adding the built-in HDR in KeyShot will not crash.

If it always saves with the same file if could be corrupted in some way. If you want you can send me a PM with the HDR environment and I’ll see if it happens here as well.

Do you have any other information you can share like,

  1. KeyShot version, OS, and hardware specs?
  2. Have you checked the directory permissions?
  3. Are you using a cloud drive?
